Cathedral Office Products is a family-managed business established by Marc and Jan Carpenter in 1995. Named in honour of their home town Salisbury, famous for its cathedral, the business is now run by Marc and Jan’s sons – Ben and Ross.
Cathedral’s original focus was the manufacture and supply of whiteboards, chalkboards and noticeboards to Perth schools. Since then, not only have chalkboards become obsolete, but Cathedral has successfully evolved into projection boards, acoustic boards and a huge range of specialty products. Cathedral now services both metropolitan and WA regional locations, as well as satisfying the demands of architecturally-designed universities, hospitals and office spaces.
Ben and Ross believe Cathedral’s long-standing reputation with builders and architects is owed to the personal contact they provide to their clients, and the quality of their staff. They also pride themselves on their in-house manufacturing and enduring installation. Cathedral’s accountability and reliability for both services and products has continued throughout the decades, from Marc and Jan to their sons.
Both Ben and Ross started in the family factory “on the tools” almost from day one, manufacturing and installing boards. Since then, there have been two moves to larger premises. Ben now handles retail supply and consumer-direct work, and oversees Cathedral’s manufacturing team. Ross handles contract work, including new projects and refurbishments and manages the installation team. They are family men at heart and it is only a matter of time until one of their daughters take over…
